Keep Customers involved and aware

The Livebase Designer allows the analyst to draw Models in real time while interviewing the Customer. We strongly recommend analysts to let the Customer see the Model while it’s edited, by sharing the Designer screen.

In fact, although most Customers would not be able to create a Model autonomously, they generally still gain a good understanding of a Model when they see it growing based on their input.

The conceptual database schema of a Livebase Model, for instance, reminds the Customer the context of the interview and the exact meaning of the terms used, and helps him to stay focused and interested during the interview, which improves the quality of the requirements specification.

Viewing the evolution of the Model diagrams through the interviews makes the Customer more confident that his input is understood and taken into consideration, more aware of the progress of the analysis and more conscious of the impact of any change in the requirements previously agreed.
